Site Explorer Winner

Time to announce the most eagerly awaited competition results of the year...

The Site Explorer Winners are...drum roll... Tony Seaman and Jeff Rippley.

They ended up equal on 12 sites flown. As is our tradition, they are the lucky recipients of a fantastic IOU.

The Site Explorer competition has been restarted and is now accepting flights for this season from Septmber onwards.

WOF at Vauxhall School, Devo

Just to confirm: WOFs tomorrow, Tuesday 30 October, from 4pm, are at Vauxhall school in Devonport. Morrison Ave, near Narrow Neck and Fort Takapuna, off Vauxhall Road. We are using the new school hall should the weather not play ball.

Afterwards, the Club is putting on a sausage sizzle, so that we can all catch up after far too little flying recently. BYO drinks.

See you there!

:-) Eva

2012 NZHGPA AGM & EEM – The Queenstown Causality

Hello Auckland Members

The new 2012/13 NZHGPA Executive

PG Instructor and Tandem Seminar 28. September

We are running a PG instructor and tandem seminar on Friday, 28 September, at our place in Bayswater. 26 Beresford Street.

Apparently, there are all new CAA requirements for instructor ratings, a new form and a new process to obtain such rating. Still, there is nothing on the NZHGPA website or the current forms as per today. Hence, we will run a low key seminar just to avoid any more confusing. To catch up with the experienced instructors once in a while to discuss what's new around the world is fund and makes sense to us either way.

SGM Preliminary Result

The unofficial results are in from the AHGPC Delegate.

It is expected a summary and Official SGM Minutes will be published via http://www.nzhgpa.org.nz/ reasonably promptly.

I am not personally sure which Remit (1a or 1b) was passed, however, one of them did.

  • 16 Yes
  • 11 No

The No’s were Auckland, Southern and Taranaki.

There is a minor anomaly with BOP, no vote maybe?
